My brother Jason and I ventured to Brooklyn Friday night to catch one of my absolute all-time heroes, Meshell Ndegeocello, at the Music Hall of Williamsburg - with the Pimps of Joytime warming things up. A great, great show.

Meshell's latest record, The World Has Made Me the Man of My Dreams, is probably my favorite record of 2007. (That and Mr. Powhida's Int'l Airport thang.) Delish.

You should own it.

And get a taste of the live thang, too. ('Article 3' and 'Evolution' and 'Sloganeer: Paradise' kick... my... black... ass.)
